Hi there. If you're looking for a structured but individualized approach to learning songs, and progressing on the guitar with theory and technique, then read on.

Instruction is available in acoustic and/or electric guitar styles, including Rock, Blues, Folk, R&B, and Country. Lessons are private, 50 minutes long, and scheduled on a weekly basis only. Our time is divided between learning to play (and eventually transcribe) songs selected by you, as well as learning the musicianship necessary to understand and master them.

In other words, for the first half of each lesson we'll work on a theory-technique assignment to improve your overall skills, and then, in the second half we'll work on a song you've chosen, in order to have fun, and make real-world sense out of it all.

I've taught guitar professionally for over twenty years, have a degree in music, and have arranged numerous guitar transcription books for Warner Bros. Music Publications®, and Hal Leonard Corporation®. My instructional articles have appeared in Guitar Player®, How To Play Guitar®, and Acoustic Guitar® magazines*.
